One of my suppliers at Hamper & Hamper are Church Farm General Store. Their Church Farm is located in the small town of Billinudgel in Northern NSW. These guys are on the right path in regards to sustainable living. They make all of their Church Farm products by hand, with produce that they grow in their own front yard or source from the local farmer markets. They are super passionate about using the freshest produce they can find and the best quality natural ingredients, that's why they like to grow it themselves.
The Church Farm General Store is the love-child of Amanda and Andrew. They live in the old timber church in Billinudgel, with their curly haired son Banjo, and their one-blue-eyed-wolf Milly. Since building their veggie farm, they have been selling their homegrown produce on their roadside stall to passers by. The roadside stall blossomed into the idea of a general store showcasing local homegrown and handmade products from their garden.
I carry 3 of Church Farms products in my beauty hamper. A bath soak, bath and body oil and their famous handmade soap bundles. The newest addition to the family is the Church Farm Herbal Bath Soak w/ Colloidal Oatmeal + unbleached cotton muslin bag. This is the product that actually grabbed my eye and introduced me to these guys originally. Such an earthy aroma but not over powering. You begin the ritual by pouring the herbal bath soak into the muslin bag and place it under the warm running water for a tea bath.
I truly think it should be mandatory for a few candles to be lit and a non-speaking policy throughout the home whilst you reside in the bath, (i'm sure the family won't have a problem with this ha ha). It's super soothing for the skin, and gentle and suitable for all skin types. Another one of my favourites is the Solar Infused Bath and Body Oil. It's homegrown Calendula flowers infused by the power of the sun with organic plant & seed oils chosen for their nourishing skin benefits. Calendula has been used medicinally for centuries and I could type all day about it's benefits, somebody stop me! & cedarwood essential oil has an earthy aroma and has been used by the Egyptians and Tibetans, also for centuries, for its soothing and grounding properties. And it's also a lymphatic stimulant and a mild insect repellant. Being an oil product, people can be worried it will take a while to soak in to the skin, but I have found that I can apply it to my hands and immediately go about my day. I great product to add to the beauty routine, be it summer or winter.
Every time I go into my studio to pack hampers, I am welcomed by the heavenly scent of the bundles of soaps.
Such a sweet smell to awaken the senses. I just love the look of these little bundles. I think they look too good to use sometimes to
be honest, and thats why I have them in every one of the bathrooms for display purposes only, and for use at the basin as well of course!! With ingredients that sound good enough to eat: Saponified Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Coconut Oil, Spring Water, Orange Blossom Water, Australian Red Clay, Sweet Almond Oil, Sweet Orange Essential Oil, Paprika & Clove No Artificial colours,
fragrances or detergents & always palm-oil free. (save the Orangutans!!!!)
Below is a picture of my Beauty Hamper. Im very proud of all my hampers but I really do have a soft spot for anything that means pampering myself. Like we all know, the skin is the biggest organ in the body. We need to feed and nourish the outside just as much as the inside.
